Premiere Wine & Chocolate Experience

Highlighted by Texas Monthly, the Premiere Wine & Chocolate Experience is truly unique and unforgettable and is one of the most unique chocolate and wine events in the United States. Guests join us in our upstairs tasting room, beginning with sparkling wine and a charcuterie board with brittles, chocolate, and our famous cocoa nib-covered goat cheese in addition to our customer favorite "Wall of Bacon".  At the same time, one of our chocolatier staff walks you through the process of making chocolate and provides an elevated description of the factory through floor-to-ceiling windows. Groups then enjoy wine from DKM Cellars' own portfolio, chocolate, and multiple confections over an approximately 90-minute tasting experience.

Elevated Wine & Chocolate Tasting

Enjoy a curated selection of our artisanal chocolates and perfectly paired wines while overlooking the chocolate-making process through our expansive windows. This self-guided, concise experience blends education with indulgence, ideal for a brief yet memorable exploration of fine chocolates and wines. This Experience includes a brief description of the chocolates and wine but is not lead by one of our chocolatiers. If you prefer an Experience package that includes one of our chocolatiers, then please explore our Premiere Wine & Chocolate Experience or our Savor the Flavors packages. Upgrades such as our Wall of Bacon and charcuterie can be added to this Experience and can be ordered in advance at the time of booking.  This Experience lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Factory Floor Chocolate & Wine Tasting Experience

Dive into a world of decadent delights with our exclusive Savor the Flavors: A Factory Floor Chocolate & Wine Tasting Experience at the Hill Country Chocolate Factory in Fredericksburg, Texas. Limited to just 10 participants, this intimate journey will take you through the bean-to-bar chocolate-making process, showcasing ethical sourcing, cacao evaluation, and the delicate craft of chocolate tempering right on the factory floor. To sweeten the experience, you'll also have the opportunity to participate in a live demo, creating Hill Country Chocolate's signature gourmet caramel popcorn. The capstone event is a wine reception in our upstairs tasting room with wine, cheese, and chocolate. This Experience lasts approximately 90 minutes.

 Additional Information:

  • Walk-ins Welcome: Chocolate and wine tasting is available in our Retail Factory location without a reservation but seating is not guaranteed and is available on a first come, first serve basis.
     
  • Kids in the store: We are a kid friendly destination in our Factory Retail Store, but children including infants (those less than 21 years of age) are not allowed to participate in our reserved Experience packages or in our elevated tasting room.  
     
  • Communal tables (Ages 21+): Our reserved Experiences are all communal tables which means you may be joined by other parties. This proves to make the Experience very enjoyable, but unless discussed in advance with our staff, there is no guarantee that the Experiences will be private events. We do schedule private Experience packages. Please reach out to info@hillcountrychocolate.com for more information.
     
  • Our menu and wine selections for the Experience packages changes daily and is determined by our chocolatiers. We do not offer menu selection as these are pre-defined events. In addition, Hill Country Chocolate products contain, may have been in contact with, or made on equipment shared with soy, milk, wheat, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts. We recommend you take necessary precautions based on any related allergens. Unfortunately, we cannot make adjustments to our menu related to sensitivities or allergies. If you have a severe allergy, our Experiences may not be the best option for you.  If you have any questions, please reach out to info@hillcountrychocolate.com in advance of booking and discuss your visit with one of our staff. 
     
  • Mobility: Our tasting room is upstairs and overlooks our factory floor. There is no elevator, but we can make accommodations for those unable to climb stairs if you reach out in advance to info@hillcountrychocolate.com prior to booking.
